Founder of Mingo Law
Allison A. Mingo founded Mingo Law to bring an education-first approach to Florida estate planning. She built the practice around a straightforward idea: families deserve to understand the plan they’re signing, not just be told where to initial.
Allison earned her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law and her LL.M. from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law.
She is admitted to practice law in Florida and before the U.S. District Courts for the Middle, Northern, and Southern Districts of Florida, and is a member of The Florida Bar in good standing.
Why Mingo Law exists
Estate planning documents are often written in language families are never invited to understand. Mingo Law exists to change that. A plan only works if the people who rely on it — you, and eventually the people you love — actually understand what it does and why it’s structured that way.
That conviction shapes every meeting at Mingo Law: education before documents. Before you sign anything, you should be able to explain, in your own words, what happens to your family, your assets, and your decisions if your circumstances change. That understanding isn’t an extra step tacked onto the process — it is the process.
