Begin with a conversation, not a commitment.
The 15-minute consultation is a short, no-obligation call to see whether Mingo Law is the right fit for your family — nothing more.
How it works
15-Minute Consultation
A short call to hear your situation and explain how planning works — no forms, no pressure, just a conversation.
Family Wealth Planning Session
A guided, unhurried working session where Allison reviews what you own, who you love, and what would happen today if something happened to you. Available virtually or in person.
Your Plan
Clear choices at a planning level that fits your family, your assets, and your budget — you decide what happens next.
What happens during the planning session?
The planning session is where a conversation becomes a plan.
Allison starts with education, not paperwork. Before any decisions are made, Allison walks through how Florida law treats your assets, your family, and your wishes, so every choice that follows is one you actually understand.
From there, Allison builds a simple inventory of what you own — real estate, accounts, business interests, anything that matters to your family. Allison pairs that with a plain walkthrough of what would happen today, under Florida law, if you became incapacitated or passed away: who would make decisions, who would inherit, and whether your family would need to go to court. This session is the working foundation behind your full estate plan.
With that picture in front of you, Allison talks through planning levels built for different families and different needs, so you can choose the one that fits your situation. Fees are flat and disclosed in advance, so you will know exactly what a plan costs before you decide to move forward.
What should I bring?
Come as you are — a rough list is more useful than a perfect one. To get the most from your session, bring:
- A rough list of what you own, such as real estate, accounts, and business interests
- Beneficiary designations on retirement accounts, life insurance, and similar assets
- Any prior estate planning documents, if you have them
- Your questions — no question is too basic
No pressure, no jargon
Allison leads with education, not pressure. Every term gets explained in plain English before Allison asks you to decide anything, and you will understand everything you sign.
You set the pace. Some families are ready to decide at the planning session; others want time to think it over — both are fine. And planning for yourself is only part of the picture: many of the same choices connect directly to protecting your family if something unexpected happens.
Frequently asked questions
Is the 15-minute consultation really free of obligation?
Yes — the call is a no-obligation conversation, not a sales pitch. It gives you a chance to describe your situation, ask questions, and hear how the planning process works before you decide anything. Nothing is owed and nothing is expected in return, and there is no pressure to book a follow-up appointment before you feel ready.
This call is general information about how Mingo Law works, not legal advice about your specific situation, and speaking with Mingo Law does not create an attorney-client relationship. If a Family Wealth Planning Session sounds like the right next step, Allison will offer a time. If not, that is completely fine — the call still leaves you with a clearer picture of your options in Florida, and you are always welcome to reach back out later when the timing works better for your family.
Do I need to prepare anything for the first call?
No — you do not need to prepare anything for the first call. The 15-minute consultation is a conversation, not a document review, and it works whether you show up with a folder full of paperwork or nothing at all. Come with whatever is on your mind: a recent life change, a worry about your family, or simply questions about how estate planning works in Florida.
If you happen to have prior documents, a rough sense of what you own, or account beneficiary information, that is helpful but not required at this stage. The deeper document and asset review happens later, at the Family Wealth Planning Session, where there is time to go through everything carefully together, at a pace that fits your family.
How long does the whole process take?
Most families move from the first call to a completed plan within a few weeks, though the pace is entirely up to you. The 15-minute consultation usually happens first, followed by the Family Wealth Planning Session where Allison builds out the details with you, walk through what you own, and talk through the planning level that fits your situation.
After that, you will have time to review your options before signing anything. Some families move quickly and finalize their plan within a couple of weeks; others take longer to think things through, gather documents, or talk with a spouse or family member, and both are perfectly fine. There is no deadline and no penalty for taking your time. If questions come up along the way, you are welcome to reach out at any point in the process.
